I am a tutor who is fluent in Japanese. I've mastered the language, and I know what it takes to succeed. My passion for the Japanese language began when I was a high school student, during which time I took Japanese for four years. I continued to study the language in college. At the University of Miami I studied Japanese and went abroad to Sophia University in Japan. I loved it there so much that I transferred to the university, located in Tokyo, and graduated with a degree in International Business. During the time I lived in Japan I tutored in English. I currently tutor through professional tutoring programs and also at a private school. I've taken classes on methods of teaching for advanced language courses. I incorporate what I learned from these seminars into my tutoring classes, like the total-physical-response method and the audio-lingual method. I love to use audio aides in my tutoring. I think listening to the language is crucial when you're trying to learn it. When I'm not tutoring Japanese I'm working on developing websites (my full-time job) or playing the saxophone.
