Experience
Education is extremely important to improve quality of life; I impart this wisdom to each of my students. My focus is to ready students for a world which will be increasingly global as they become adults. I incorporate 21st century learning and student outcomes which entails a mix of expertise, content, literacies, and specific skills. And I ensure students have access to new systems of support to help them learn the varied skills required to be successful in this new era; therefore I encourage them to make use of all the technological resources at their fingertips. I love teaching History, Literature, and Spanish. I feel that language is vital to a student's learning experience and allows them to absorb subject matter and cultivate real-world skills. As a certified Spanish teacher of grades K-12 in Florida and Indiana I believe every student can be successful. I now teach at Broward County Public Schools. I've also taught at Detroit Public Schools, Howe Military Academy, and Fort Wayne Community schools. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature and Culture Studies of Mesoamerican Civilization and Secondary Education from Indiana University, Bloomington. I enjoy scuba diving, backpacking, photography, movies, swimming, and travel.
