I graduated from Florida State University, where I had two majors, one in Child Sciences and another in English Literature. During my time in college, I was also working as a kindergarten teacher. I have had experience working with children of all ages for many years. In addition to teaching, I am involved in several outreach programs that tutor and mentor children of different age groups.As both a teacher and a volunteer, I have taught and worked with children suffering from learning disabilities. In order to help these students succeed academically, I help them build a strong foundation in reading and writing. As a high school student, I was also tutored in difficult subjects. I understand how it feels to be frustrated when learning difficult concepts, compounded with feeling apathetic towards learning in general.I believe that tutoring provides an outlet to help children reach their full potential. As a tutor, I strive to do whatever I can to help my students develop academically. If I was able to overcome my difficulties, anyone can do it.When I am not teaching I enjoy working out, which I like to do through mixed martial arts. I also enjoy going to the beach and reading books.
